Welcome to Yokefellowship Prison Ministry

Chairperson David Manos and Executive Director Rev. John Rush

Welcome to our web site. Please look around and let us know how you'd like to be a part of the Yokefellowship Prison Ministry.

Purpose

  • Christian volunteers enter prisons weekly to facilitate small discussion groups. Topical and Biblical studies, along with prayer, are to complement felt needs surfacing in the session.

  • Emphasis is on respectful listening and caring relationship building, compared to “conducting a service” or preaching and teaching per se..

  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ offers hope for the future. It calls for repentance, offers forgiveness, renewal and reconciliation.

  • Re-entry issues are of great priority. By discussing topics about lifestyle and skills we can reduce the tendency of a return to prison.
