Welcome To Yokefellowship Prison Ministry

Currently ministering in Pennsylvania.

Our Mission is to help at-risk youth, inmates and ex-offenders yoke themselves to Christ for salvation and changed lives.

Our Commitment  — We are committed to the idea that people’s lives are changed through personal discipline and committed small groups where problems and faith are shared. The goal of YPM small groups is to connect people to God, to connect people to one another, and to raise up disciples in a relational manner.

Our call is to yoke ourselves to Christ, to yoke ourselves to one another, and to visit those in prison.

Come to me all you who are burdened and heavy-laden
and I will give you rest.
(This is the rest that comes from Salvation)

Take my yoke upon you and learn of me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
(This is the rest that comes from a changed life.)

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
— Matt 11:28-30

I ask you, loyal yokefellow,
help….the rest of my fellow workers
whose names are in the book of life.
— Philippians 4:3

“I was in prison and you came to me…
as you came to one of the least of these my brothers,
you came to me.”— Matt. 25:36

Being yoked to Christ means you have decided to be His disciple, a follower of Jesus Christ, and it launches you on a journey of commitment, discipline, fellowship, witnessing, and ministry.

Testimonies

Jason ~ Yokefellows small group member

“When I came to prison, I was so broken. I stayed in bed. I wanted to dwell in my misery. Then my cellie told me about Yokefellows. The volunteer wrestled with me (figuratively) on my thinking and gave me hope and a new life in Christ.”

Steve ~ former outlaw biker

To a Yokefellow volunteer — I don’t know how to put to paper my feelings toward you… You made me want to step on the God path. Because of you, I know the love of Jesus and God’s sweet grace.
